Surface Preparation (Critical!)
Cleaning: Thoroughly remove oil, dust, and old sealant from threads using a dedicated cleaner (e.g., acetone, isopropyl alcohol). Ensure surfaces are completely clean and dry (wipe with a lint-free cloth).
Rust Removal: If rust is present, polish with a wire brush or sandpaper until bare metal is exposed.
Avoid Oils: Never use lubricants or WD-40, as they inhibit curing.
