Product Description

Product Introduction

Forwa PTFE Shrink Tubing is a high-performance heat-shrinkable tubing made from polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) through a special manufacturing process. When heated, it shrinks rapidly and tightly conforms to the surface of the protected object, forming a strong, stable, and highly protective insulating layer.

Product Features

  • Exceptional Temperature Resistance: Can be used long-term in a wide temperature range from -200°C to +260°C. It maintains stable physical and chemical properties without deformation or aging.
  • Superior Chemical Corrosion Resistance: Resists almost all strong acids, strong alkalis, strong oxidizers, and organic solvents, including aqua regia.
  • Outstanding Electrical Insulation: Extremely high resistivity and dielectric strength, making it an ideal electrical insulation material.
  • High Shrink Ratio: Common shrink ratios are 1.5:1 to 2:1. After heating, it can shrink to 50%–70% of its original diameter and remains tightly shrunk after cooling.
  • Extremely Low Friction Coefficient: Approximately 0.04, offering excellent self-lubricating properties.
  • Good Flexibility: Features certain flexibility and bendability, suitable for complex installation environments.
  • Flame Retardancy: Complies with VW-1 flame retardant standard.

Problems It Solves

  • Extreme Environment Protection: Solves the problem that ordinary heat shrink tubing cannot operate stably in high-temperature or highly corrosive extreme environments.
  • High-Reliability Insulation: Provides reliable insulation protection for electronic and electrical components even under harsh conditions.
  • Complex Shape Coverage: Through its heat-shrink properties, it tightly conforms to irregularly shaped objects, achieving seamless protection.
  • Component Identification and Fixation: Can be used for color-coding, strain relief, and fixing of wires, cables, and other components.

Key Advantages

  • Top-tier Protection: Combines high-temperature resistance, chemical corrosion resistance, and superior insulation in one product, offering comprehensive protection.
  • Excellent Long-term Stability: Maintains stable performance under extreme temperatures, with strong aging resistance and long service life.
  • Wide Range of Applications: Suitable for high-tech fields ranging from electronics and electrical equipment to aerospace.
  • Improved Product Reliability: Provides a robust protective layer for critical components, significantly enhancing the reliability and safety of the final product.

Application Scenarios

  • Electronics & Electrical: Insulation protection for miniature transformers, special sensors, motor lead wires, and coils.
  • Aerospace: High-temperature and corrosion-resistant insulation for internal wiring in aircraft and spacecraft.
  • Medical Devices: Encapsulation and protection of precision medical components such as guidewire sheaths and coated surgical instruments.
  • Chemical Industry: Protection and insulation of corrosion-resistant components in chemical equipment.
  • Automotive Industry: Cable protection in high-temperature areas such as automotive sensors and ignition coils.
